I'm baaack!!!

Hello everybody!!! 

I'm so so sorry I haven't posted for so long!!! It's been some busy weeks...
In the last week of april I had the so called "orientation week" but it's not like the first week in university but a week without normal classes. Instead we had to work in groups for a real client. And I gotta say I've been thinking about quitting university for a time now because I want to work more as a photographer not a designer. But that week was more than amazing.. and I think I'm gonna stay at university at least for another year :D
After that I've been trying to make my own powder paint for a big shooting. I have to make a book for my photography class and I've always wanted to do a shoot with powder paint! So I had to dry 5kg beet and 3kg carrots for a whole week and I bought 20kg flour.

(Btw I bought 1kg red powder paint online but they had delivery problems that's why my powder paint was only powder no paint :D)

We had the best weather I could've imagined!!! Sunny and warm (well, a little bit too sunny! I got sunburned -.-) But it was so much fun!!! And I loooove the results:

Beyoncé for H&M

If you know me, you probably know that I am the biggest Beyoncé fan ever! You know those little 12-year-old Justin Bieber beliebers? Yeah, that's me in Bey-form.

I'm actually not such a big fan of H&M, to be quite honest. Of course I buy things there, but sometimes their things are too mainstream and just not my style (that sounds like I'm a wannabe high-fashion or hipster girl, which I'm not - but I guess some of you understand what I mean). Anyway, not being such a big H&M fan, I had mixed feelings when I heard that Beyoncé will be the new face of the beach fashion collection. But now the things are finally out and I can say that I LOVE it. It may be because Beyoncé's the one presenting them, haha. But I really like the clothes.
Since I don't live near to a beach and I'm not a big public outdoor pool goer, I don't know if I'm gonna buy some of the bikinis. But the dresses! I love maxi dresses and I was planning on adding some to the ones I already have anyway, and the designs of those new ones are just amazing!

I love the yellow bikini on the dark skin! Since I'm dark-skinned myself, I'll probably buy the yellow one (if I'll buy one at all). I'm also addicted to the yellow bikini because its shape reminds me of the 60s bandeau style.

The black bikini isn't too special, but I like the detailed fringes.

The black and white maxi dress is perfection! I'd probably only wear it at the beach. If I'd wear it like that, I'd make sure to wear a black bandeau top underneath it, so it won't be too revealing.
The turquois/cyan maxi dress is so beautiful as well. The great things is that I think it would suit anyone. No matter what skin or hair color or what size. The accessoires (especially the necklace) are just stunning and even if your just wearing a pair of jeans and a simple white top, they spice up the outfit.

Last but not least, the top. I know it's not everybody's style, but I LOVE it. In combination with a high waisted jeans or just a simple black maxi skirt, I'll look fabulous.

Fashion Post: A Spring Walk

Again, first of all we have to say sorry for not posting anything for so long. We're both insanely busy at the moment but we'll definitely try to blog more often now. And still, it's amazing to see how many people actually come to visit our blog, and all of that without us promoting it or actually talking about it. Thanks for that!

Finally, spring has arrived over here in Germany!

We spend the last weekend together in Frankfurt and it was just amazing! Nothing better than a bestie-weekend. And the weather was amazing! It wasn't too warm though. It was one of those spring weekends you still need to wear a jacket to go out, but there still are amazing "springy" outfits you can wear, so we decided to take some picture of the outfits we wore when we went out for a walk.

Hey guys!

First of all: sorry we haven't posted anything in weeks. But although we weren't posting, we've been checking our site visits and it's amazing to see that there are many people that keep visiting our blog to see if we put something new up. We never would have thought that so many people actually would want to read what we put on here. So thank you!

Anyway, the reason I haven't written anything those last few weeks was because I moved away from my hometown, to Frankfurt. Big city calling! I'll start university in april over here, so I had to leave home. And I couldn't be happier. I miss my family and my friends like crazy, but it's an amazing feeling to be so many miles away from the city I lived in for twenty years. It's like I've started a new life and I'm super excited to see what the future will bring.

I'm sharing an apartment with one of my best friends in this amazing city (she's been studying here since october) and I am in love with everything around here. The apartment is big and amazing and it's only like 15 minutes away from downtown Frankfurt. So we're able to reach the city anytime we want, but when we're home, we can relax and don't have to keep up with the rush and flurry of living right in the middle of the city.

To talk about my room in the apartment, all I can say is that I LOVE it. It's not too big, nor too small and I've decorated everything the way I wanted . The only thing I'm contemplating on is wether I should paint my room or not. I haven't made up my mind about that yet, but I'm in no hurry. 

Here's a little insight on what my room looks like (my favorite part of the room):

Oh, the best thing about the apartment is that every room has a big balcony and they're all connected to each other and that can only mean one thing: amazing barbecue partys in summer!!

Speaking of summer... I can only imagine what summer feels like because it's been a while since I've actually felt the warmth of sun on my skin. It's almost april and it's still freezing outside. It's even still snowing in some parts. I don't think I've ever been so excited for summer in my life. Not only because it actually won't be cold anymore, but because there are so many amazing things planned! Beyoncé concert with the besties, travelling with the girls... I can't wait!

Anyway, to get back to the topic: I'm totally pleased with life right now. This city, this apartment, and just everything. I hope it'll stay this way, or even get better.

Spring Thing

Hello Spring!!

Matching the wonderful weather outside, I thought I'd show you some of my favorite spring clothes/accessoires I found on the internet and definitely want to buy. Since I'm moving to Frankfurt in a few days, moving to a new city includes buying new clothes, right? Right.

I came across some pretty amazing online shops and I'm in love with their things.

Anyway, let's start with a guilty pleasure of mine. This "SWAGGIE." shirt by Fresh-Tops. If you know who invented that term, you're not allowed to judge me, because you obviously are a fan, too! I love the style of the loose cropped top and the bold print. It's perfect for casual spring/summer day with friends.

Next are three tops from HAM CLOTHING. I love how they make fun of other brands in such a great way. Not only have they got this amazing tops, but also Hoodies and other things. The tank tops are only 22.90€ and I think I'd totally be worth buying them.

Next up is something my friend and amazing blogger Debby showed me (make sure to check out her blog here!). Isn't this watch just beautiful? It's hand-made and only costs 30€ on DaWanda. I'm so in love not only with these two things, but with all the accessoires. Thanks again for showing me, Debby!

Last, but not least, are the wonderful things from a new brand called MSFTSrep! It belongs to Will Smith's son Jaden Smith, and his friends. I think it's great that they're so young and already handling their own "business". Of course it's clear that everything's happening "by the power of Will", but still. I don't think their parents are forcing anything on them. I just love how the MSFTS crew (which also includes Kylie Jenner, Kim K.'s little sister) don't seem to care about anything. Anyway, I love the brand! There are only a few items in their online shop right now, but you can find much more clothes on their personal instagrams and the msftsrep tumblr. I guess they just haven't got many of them produced now.

Dreams and Aims

This quote by Walt Disney is one of my favorite quotes. Many people say it's stupid to hold on to and believe in dreams because they will always just stay dreams. I couldn't disagree more. Of course it's true that not every dream can become reality, but dreams, or better aims that you have, can definitely turn into real life. "If we have the courage the pursue them". I personally have many dreams and aims in life and I’ve had countless people telling me that I should be more realistic and that it’s nearly impossible to fulfill all of them. But instead of getting discouraged, it just makes me work even harder for what I want. And half of it is already becoming reality right now. I think we have to dream big if we want to reach our goals. Really big. People that try to tell us something else are wrong. Maybe they don’t want us to dream big because they can't do it. Or they are afraid of their own dreams. Either way, they should let people who actually have dreams fulfill them, instead of bringing them down.

Nothing comes easy in life, no matter if it’s a relationship, an ideal workplace or just something we dream of buying. We have to work for everything. Fight for everything. Turning dreams into reality requires a great deal of dedication, hard work, faith and passion. We may even lose some friends and loved ones on the journey, but I think it’s all worth it. People who stand in our way of reaching for our dreams should be pushed aside. Surrounding ourselves with people who support us in what we do is one of the most important things on the way to success.

I really like this one because of the colours in the background and Waky's bright pink shirt while the foreground (wall) seems to belong to an old ruin = abandoned.
Plus Waky really looks like she owns the world, hah!

La Cuisine L&Doubs #1

The other day we just felt like cooking something together.

So we did. And it was hands down one of the most delicious things we've ever tasted! It's actually a pretty simple meal, but it was so good! We highly recommend trying it!

Basically, we just threw everything into a pan and we were done with it. Of course it's possible to add any kind of vegetables, we just chose our favorites.
